Reserves
|
If an item has been checked
out or is located in another library, you can place a Hold
on the item, and it will be reserved & delivered to the
library for you free of charge. You can place a hold by
calling the library or by giving your request to a staff
member at the circulation desk.

|
Holds can also be placed by using
a computer in the library or your home or office by connecting
to the library catalog.
|
|
1. Click
on the View box next to the title.
2. On the item's Full View from Catalog screen,
click on the Hold icon (a hand with the word
"Hold" below it).
3. Enter your 14-digit library card number
and your PIN.
Your PIN is the last four digits of your
library card number if you are not already logged
in.
4. Select the library where you would like
the item sent.
5. Click on Place Hold.
6. Click
on OK to confirm your hold after your title appears
in the blue box

Note: With HAL,
patrons now have the ability to remotely place holds
for "On Shelf" items. The possibility will
exist that a patron in the library could pick the
remotely requested item off the shelf before a staff
member is able to retrieve the item for the hold. We
regret this inconvenience.
You may cancel a hold by going to My Account,
clicking Review Account, selecting the checkbox for
each item to be cancelled, and clicking on Cancel
Selected Holds.
