is a free online service that showcases the newest titles purchased by the Peru library. As soon as we have a new title, you’ll know about it! You can select to receive alerts via email and/or RSS feeds. If you see a new title that you are interested in, just click “borrow” to place a hold on the item right away. Click the New Book Alerts logo above to begin.
Book News is an easy way to make sure you don’t miss out on the types of books you’d really like to read. It’s our free e-newsletter service with brief descriptions of each title as well as links to the library’s catalog so you can easily reserve titles of interest.

Start receiving chapters from popular books in your email. Each day, Monday - Friday, we’ll send you a portion of a book that takes only five minutes to read. During the week, you’ll have a chance to read 2-3 chapters, enough to know if it’s a book you want to finish. If you like the book, we can reserve your titles of interest in book or audio format.

Along with these two electronic resources, the library offers the BookPage, a monthly selection guide for new books in paper format. Pick up a BookPage the next time you are in the library, or download their free app. Worldcat is usually considered an interlibrary loan tool, but its immense database of books and other formats is a wonderful way to locate older books and favorite authors.
And, of course, our own PrairieCat catalog is available to search for new interests and old favorites for reading. watching or listening.
Another resource for learning about book series is What’s Next by the Kent District Library.
