can get a Library Card! All you need to know is...
- What: With your Peru Public
Library Card you can choose from our collection of
DVDs, CDs, audio books, magazines, and of course, books; use one of the
library's
Internet computers or laptops, or access all kinds of extras on the website.
You
can use the online databases, or put things on hold and have them sent.....
- Where: Your library card gives
you access to approximately 200 Illinois libraries.
You just need to bring identification to the library that shows you live in
Peru, and
fill out a short library card application. You'll have access almost 24/7! In
fact it's
just a question of...
- When: The library is open 6
days a week, but having a library card means that you
can have access to the library even when it is not open. The library's website
gives
members so much more... You can get homework help, instant message a
librarian,
check your account, and have complete access to the catalog - all 24/7! When
there
is so much to do, how come you even ask....
- Why: Books, music, movies,
computers, programs, volunteer opportunities, and so

Just the Facts
- Teens without proof of a Peru
address will need a parent or guardian to
come to the library with Identification showing their Peru address.
- You can use your card in most Illinois
libraries.
- Call the library at 815-223-0229 if
your card is lost or stolen.
- Books and audio books can be checked
for two weeks and renewed once, as long
as no one else is waiting for them. DVDs, videos, CDs, and magazines can be
checked
out for one week and renewed once, as long as no one is waiting for them.
- Overdue books and magazines are
charged a fee of .10 cents per day.
Overdue DVDs, videos, CDs, and audio books are charged a fee of $1.00 per day.
